Prototype and interaction design for an online education platform, refining the Design System and facilitating the first product soft launch
Neural Jam
Neural Jam is an upcoming education platform aiming to build a global community of lifelong learners, where it’s all about collective learning, how to learn, why to learn and what to do with your learnings. Neural Jam doesn’t teach, it helps you explore your own unique needs and then responds intuitively, to guide your own transformation, as the world constantly changes. I have worked at Neural Jam for one year as the sole UX/UI designer in the team. I helped build the product from scratch with existing research. I solved individual use cases on the screens appropriately according to user flow, user needs and stakeholder requirements. I scaled up and refined the Design System, with the creation of a complete component library.
The product had a test launch as the educational tool of Creative Incubator 2021 organized by Art Director Club Europe. We had around 40 daily users who were actively consuming learning materials online and participating in online talks. To improve the user experience, I collected feedback through surveys and interviews, and performed testing among these early users.
Neural Jam successfully raised another million of funding in 2022. The interactive prototype that I worked on is frequently used as part of a pitch deck to the investors. And I believe the UX/UI aspects of Neural Jam is one of the crucial factors of its funding success.
Neural Jam features a AI based dashboard of user's very own growth path: with access to personal notes, selected programs and an overview of the learning progress. It provides a visualization of users's learning journey, enabling them to document and manage their progress.
When entering the platform are exposed to inspirational videos, short and to the point - "Provocations" as we call them - as learning nuggets to be consumed on the go.
Campus
Neural Jam also offers selectively curated programs and workshops offered by university professors and educators around the world. Users can enroll a program and design their own learning path, while exchanging with their classmates weekly in a video session facilitated by a mentor.
Community This is where the collective learning will grow from its roots. Members of Neural Jam are freed to be proactive users of the environment, the functions, features and the content – and able to trigger dedicated collective learning journeys based on specific subject matters.
Library
This is the library of a wide range learning materials. Users are exposed to a wide range of information from video lectures, audible to readable – as well as Tik Tok style video"Provocations" and Daily Feeds. Here, you can literally create your very own source of content. Your personal, digital, constantly-growing source of information.
Notebooks
Notes taking is essential to a learning process. This customized digital notebook that can be tagged, sorted and arranged as needed to optimize a user's learning experience. Always there, just a click away, no matter where you are within the Neural Jam platform.
